More Creek Week activities...

I am so glad the kids are enjoying going to Creek Week, they are learning so much and having fun doing it. This day, some of the officers from the Myrtle Creek Police department came down and were teaching the kids how important it is to know their name, phone number, address, parents names, etc. They told what is involved if you want to become a police officer, what types of weapons they use, what happens when you make really bad choices and quite a bit of other stuff. Of course the kids loved it when they were done...they all got to pick a stuffed animal to take home.

Creek Week Adventures

The kids went to Creek Week at Evergreen Park during the week of August 3-9, 2009. They learned some new stuff everyday and had a lot of fun. This was the 2nd day of the program and they learned how people use to hunt for Mammoth...track animals that had tracking devices attached to them......make Native American items: totem poles, dream catchers, etc.

Summer Lunch Fun

Things have been really busy this summer and my computer is having some issues. I was finally able to get a page created and but on here.
Usually everyday M-Th we go to the Park for the lunch program. The kids have been enjoying it. This time since it was so HOT, they had some water balloon fun.

A dog and her tricks..

James was so excited to show us how he got Sasha to do a trick. I think she is the first dog we have had that will actually do this. Now if she would just learn how to be "undead".

Family trait???

Here it is the month of June, which usually means the start of the summer Rodeo's....something I always use to look forward to when I was younger. Such is the tradition with my boys...only they don't go to more than usually the local one her in M.C. Brady has been going with his grandma every year since he was probably 5. This is the first year that she took all the boys with her to go see their Aunt Lynne and watch cousin Morgan do some roping.
It was very comical to see them get up and ready this morning. They were up and dressed before I even woke up...why can't that happen during school?!?!
Anyway, here they are, getting ready to head out the door and ride down to the arena with Aunt Lynne.

Funny thing is, my mom has a picture of my 3 brothers all together and when she saw this, she said it reminded her of them........SCARY or NOT?!?! That is the question for today. LOL

Another tooth is lost...

Kameryn lost her 2nd tooth yesterday (June 11, 2009) while eating some pizza. We knew it had been loose, but didn't expect that. I guess she really is growing up.

Preschool Graduation Song and Party day

Well, we had our Preschool Graduation on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Here is the song we found that was really cute when the kids sang it.

The last day of school was on Wednesday and it was our end of year "Party Day" we played some games and the kids had a lot of fun. Here is a game of Musical Chairs.

A little family Rock 'N Roll

James was playing Guitar Hero and the kids decided to join in....in their own unique ways of course. Couldn't really get any with Austin where he wasn't being mean to his sister, so he doesn't get to show off his talents this time.

Skylar and Kameryn wanted to do some vocals.

Brady wanted to do a little guitar.

Let the Field Trips Begin.....#1

I guess technically, this is probably more like the 3rd field trip my kids have had recently, but the 1st one I have had time to get a page made for.
Both 4th grade classes got to take a trip to Splash in Eugene today. James got to go be a chaperone, while I took the 3rd grade classes to the local park for winning a contest.
James was able to get a few pictures for me and Brady said he had a GREAT time...except for getting flipped over in the wave pool and hitting his head on the bottom of the pool...that was not so much fun.

Spring Soccer

I finally had some time to get some pages made, so here is the first one.
Austin started his 3rd season of Soccer and his first game was a double header.....the joys/heartaches of living in a small town that only has 3 teams for each age bracket. Oh well, he is having fun and is improving with each game.

A look at the future....

A little behind on my blogging, hopefully I can get caught up this weekend.

I like the fact that James lets Kameryn comb and "do" his hair usually whenever she wants to. Plus, him letting me get a picture and blog it for everyone to see shows me what a good sport he is when it comes to helping the kids try out new things.

Who knows, maybe Kameryn will be a beautician in the future....time will tell.

Another one lost.

After trying to convince Austin to let someone pull that tooth out....which was not happening...it finally decided to fall out all by itself. It actually came out while eating a bowl of cereal this morning.

Brady's 1st Catch!!

James took the older 2 boys fishing at Galesville Reservoir one day during Spring Break. After all the cleaning, we figured they needed a break. :')
Brady is the only one that caught a fish...and it is the first one he has ever caught.

Then when he got home, there was the cleaning to be done......more on that one at a later time.

Spring Cleaning....Room 1

The first room to get tackled was Skylar & Austin's room.....it took 2 days to get completed...how sad is that?
We had to take out their old beds, give one to Brady and give the other one away. Then James (with Brady's help) put together the new bunkbeds we got for them.....this is suppose to get Austin to sleep back in his own room...wish me luck on that one.
After 3 garbage bags of papers, broken toys and stuff we decided was no longer needed, the end results were amazing. Skylar even mentioned how nice he thought his room looked.
My wish is that it will continue to stay this way from now on.
To those of you whose kids always keep their rooms clean....I salute you and would love to know what the trick is to it.

A trip to the workshop..

We decided to take the kids on a trip to Eugene. We kept telling them we would go to Build-A-Bear Workshop "someday"...this would be that someday.
First we went to Toys R Us and let them each buy a toy.....with all the toys in the store, the boys just had to have "Star Wars" figures....I thought they would pick something they couldn't find at our local Wal-Mart.

The kids' Grandma asked Skylar to make one for her...he did really good at picking out a bear for her. He even came up with the name "Elizabeth"....have been able to figure out where he came up with it. The clerk at the store was great, she let each child put their own heart into grandma's bear.

Strike a pose.

After having some issues with PSE, I was finally able to get the pictures to go where I wanted.
These were taken for Kameryn's ballet class this year. It is her first year in dance, and she is the oldest one in her class.
At this point, she is not liking it very much, so we will have to wait and see if we continue on next year.

Dinner???

James got to go out fishing with Craig and Eric for the first time. He caught the first, only and biggest fish of the day. Unfortunately he had to put it back in the river...lucky fish...lucky me also since I do not like to eat fish. haha I guess it is illegal to keep a Native fish.....that is a fish that was born in the wild, not in a fish hatchery.

Birthday continued

Here are some more pictures of Austin's skating party. All the parents thought it was "So Cool" that Austin's teacher came to his party. We were also very excited to see Mr. H come join in....we were sad that Mrs. H couldn't join us, but she wasn't feeling too well.

It was pretty funny watching all the kids who have not skated before do their best to "give it a try". I do admire their courage....especially the one child who said they were NOT going to skate, but after about 15 minutes of his mom and myself doing a little persuading, he gave it a try and was doing really well. Kameryn couldn't stand up for more than about 5 seconds before she ended up on the floor. Skylar kept falling, but would get back up and take off again...he did come home with quite a few bruises on his arms, but I love his attitude.

Party On

We celebrated Austin's 7th birthday on Saturday at the Skating Rink in Roseburg. It was great to see his friends from school get to come and enjoy this day with him.

Check up time again...

Well, it was dentist time again for 3 of my 4. I love how they all go to the same Dr.
It makes my day to hear "No Cavities Today!!"
The pink stuff on the teeth is to show where we are missing....what do they expect when the boys just came from school and haven't had time to brush before we got there??
This was the first time they got to get their teeth "Polished". Kameryn didn't need to have it done, but since the boys got to do it, of course she wanted to do it.

Pajama Day

Friday, February 13 was Pajama Day at MCE. It was cute to see which Teachers actually participated in this event....sadly, not very many.

Valentine Day dance offs....

Here is Mr. H "doing his thing" against one of the students...who do you think should win???

Austin decided to demonstrate his "Coocoo Animal" for the class. Nice to see he is coming out of being so shy. :')

The joy of haircuts...

or maybe it is the agony of trying to get the boys in. Actually, they were pretty good sports about it and all sat very still while it was being done.

From Practice to Performance

It was Kameryn's 1st time getting to do the SU Lil Cheer Camp. She had so much fun. It was nice to see some of her friends were doing it also.

Of course, when it came time for them to perform at the game I had issues with my camera, so I was only able to record some of it and didn't get any pictures. :'(

Kids at the park

After hearing about the changes at the park, we decided to go check it out. It was a little cold at first, but the sun did eventually come out.
Austin is definately the "Ham" in the family when it comes to having pictures taken.

Bathtime

One day when we let the dogs in, we noticed they had a little smell to them....not a real pleasant one, so we decided it was definately bath time.
Sasha is absolutely NOT a fan of bathtime...as you can see by the look on her face before hand. Even though she hates it, she is so happy when it is over.
Ariel doesn't mind it as much....I think she just really looks forward to playtime afterward.

1/2 the kids are gone.....

Ok, there are no pictures to go with this one, but I had to make a little note about how quiet it is at my house right now. Two of my kids have went to their friends' houses for the night. Now I can really see how much easier it is for those of you that only have 2.

I might actually even get to sleep in tomorrow, since the two that left (Kameryn to her bff Mirandah's and Skylar to his friend Conner's bday) are the ones that get up WAY TOO EARLY!! Somedays I think they would be the ones to wake up the rooster if we had one.

New toy for me.....

After hearing how fun the Wii Fit is, we found one and decided to buy it. So far it is day 1, it will be interesting to see how it works as time goes on.

James tried it when he got home...his body age is '37' and he is really 36.....mine says '32' and I am really older than that.

Turning '9'

I couldn't find any good recent pictures of Skylar from soccer season, so I decided to go with a birthday page instead.

Austin Fall Soccer 2008

As I continue to figure this out, I realized I still needed a page for Austin and Skylar. We'll shoot for one today and one tomorrow.

Kameryn...Prima Ballerina.

Ok, I am loving this program.
Here is Kameryn at one of her dance lessons. I wish I could still bend and twist like that...then again, I don't remember if I ever could.

Baseball 2008

I found another scrap program to use....this is getting to be fun.
This is Brady's first year in Minor's baseball. It was a little different for him since the kids are now being the pitchers. He got hit a few times by "Wild Pitches", but that is all part of the learning process.

Scrap page...will it work??

I found a new program for digital scrapbooking and wanted to just see if I could get to work or not. I tried with some pictures I had from July 4, 2008.

New Year's Eve 2008

The kids kept asking (begging) to stay up to welcome in the New Year. I was too tired to know if I would even stay awake until then, so I left that decision up to James....he said YES.
We did manage to get a picture with me and all the kids....that doesn't happen very often since I don't like having my picture taken. I read on another post how important it is to get pictures no matter what to preserve the memories, so I gave in.

Here it is at 12:00 am on January 1, 2009.....is it just me, or do they look a little tired???
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.
