Meet The Teachers

Well, this is the first one of these that I can remember...usually we go in after about 2 weeks of school to meet with the teacher and go over the classroom rules, etc. I think I really like this way better. It gave my children a chance to meet the teacher (if they didn't already know them from older siblings having them) and see who they know in their class, where things are etc. I also feel like it has more of a personal feel to it compared to the previous way.
This will be a new year and hopefully an exciting one. We have 2 teachers we have never had before, so that will definitely be something different.

Here is Skylar with his 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Law. He is very excited for school to start and thinks she is very nice.

This is Austin with his 1st grade teacher, Mr. Hughes. Brady had this teacher last year for 3rd grade, so this is a little different, but Austin already knows Mr. Hughes and I am hoping it all goes well. Now we come to the oldest, Brady who is now in 4th grade with his teacher Ms. Clack. The funny part is I have known this teacher almost all of my life. She use to live down the road from us when I was younger and we even rode the bus together to school. I think she is going to have her hands full with the amount of kids and some of the personalities that come with them, but I am sure she will do fine.

Crazy Family

Posted by Picasa

Here is my family (minus my middle son Skylar who had a wounded foot and didn't want to come) in Portland at our Hotel when we went up for the weekend to go to the Zoo. You would think I could get them to sit still long enough to get a good picture....I guess that is asking too much.

Time is running out...

Who knew trying to find a new table for preschool would be so complicated??? Obviously not I. Hopefully one day I will be able to stop being such a procrastinator and get things done early.....probably will never happen, but I can still wish. As time for school to start is drawing nearer and time is running out, I am starting to get a little stressed about getting everything done that I would like to get done before then.
Well, wish me luck as I go on my quest today to find the perfect table, someone to make new shirts and get the signs ordered for my car.

Let the countdown begin....

Well, here it is with only 8 days until school starts. I must admit, I am a little anxious for it to be under way. Don't get me wrong, summer is fun, but with my house full of kids, school is what helps keep me sane.
It is starting to get a little busier for me at this time, as I have to be sure the boys are ready for their first day.....see when fall sports sigh-ups are....help with the new Boo-Hoo Breakfast for kindergarten parents (excited for this one). Then I get a few days off before my own school is up and running. We are hoping to have an open house on Thursday before officially starting school, and there are the supplies to be ordered, cubbies to be labeled, calendars and other handouts to get ready.
I'm seriously starting to think I like to be overly busy and run ragged all the time. My husband says it's my own fault for planning so many things, but I actually like being so involved when it comes to my kids.

Something new to try out.....

Well, here it is, another computer sight where I can spend some of my "free" time...haha.
Seriously, I have some friends that have one of these, and it looks rather interesting. I must say, it seems like a little public diary to me and it has been a long time since I had any type of diary/journal, etc....I guess as long as people don't mind if there are days when I simply feel the need to vent...this could be a good thing for me to have.
