The new clean, shiny, white shoes are a sure sign for me that school is about to start. I don't know about the rest of you, but my kids' shoes will no longer look like this by the end of the first week of school. It's funny how they get so excited about the "pretty new shoes" until they actually wear them outside and get a little dirt on them, then they are just like every other pair they have in the closet.

So true..one trip to the playground and those shiny new shoes are all dirty. Thank goodness for washing machines.
That is how it is for the teachers too....especially with all those little feet accidently stepping on the tops and sides of your feet....gotta love the "perks" of teaching!
The 1st week of school is over:o) And it was a long one..Thank you for all your help:o)volunteering is much more fun with someone.
